What to Expect
Mount Barney National Park is one of the largest areas of undisturbed natural vegetation remaining in South East Queensland. It is significant for providing homes to over 340 animal species and over 700 plant species.
Hiking Mt Barney is not for the faint-hearted. Scrambling sections, and the lack of a detailed route adds an extra dose of excitement to your journey. That is where our team comes in to support you.
We assist you to Mt Barney's Eastern Peak, carrying most of the gear and leading the way. Once at the summit, stare in awe at the vista views, before a short descent to the Rum Jungle where we will make camp and our Guides (Who also happen to be certified Chefs) will prepare a delicious meal.
Celebrate your accomplishment with a wine or spirit as the sun falls on the valley, and watch the magnificence that is Mt Barney.
At 1,359 meters (4,459 feet), Mount Barney stands tall as the highest peak in Mount Barney National Park, Queensland. Due to the challenge of this hike it is essential to begin the ascent early. The earlier, the better. Starting the trail early is key, as we will make regular stops to look at the landscape and rest our legs.

We invite you with us to take on Mt Barney, a challenging trek in South East Queensland.
One of Australia’s more exciting mountain hikes, push your ability and spend the night on the mountain as you watch the sun set over the valley.

First Aid and CPR.
Emergency Beacon.
Transport from Gold Coast to trail, and back.
Toilet camp.
Meals.
All meals are prepared by our certified chefs.
